GHCTA Charity Raffle Results

GHCTA had its first charity raffle basket at the November 8th USEA show.
The basket had a retail value of over $200 dollars. The items included polo
wraps, saddle cover, treats, shampoo, Ariat Tote, sock, halter and lead
rope, plus much more. We were able to fill the basket with great goodies
with the help and generous discount from Charlotte's Saddlery. Our basket
rose over $400.00 dollars that is being donated in full to Habitat for Horses.
There property was hit very hard by hurricane Ike and we intend to
continue to raise funds to support their rebuilding efforts. A BIG thank you
to Sharon Shull who "campaigned" throughout the show selling tickets that
made this raffle successful.

2009 Planned GHCTA Activity Update

GHCTA is planning an exciting year of events and programs for its members.
Our board members are working hard to develop a schedule of activities
throughout this year We will also be hosting a number of activities that will
be directly involved with learning and volunteering at a 3-Day Eventing
Show. As we finalize the details they will be posted on the website. In
addition we will be taking the "green" approach and will send all newsletters
via email as well as post them on the website. There will be 2 paper copies
sent per season during the summer and winter months.
